Coleman, a Rockford Michigan native, grew up riding bikes. Not one for sport, he found a passion for music. Playing drums professionally, he traveled the US with a bicycle in the tour bus to escape the party. After receiving his degree in Business Administration, he packed his drums and started racing triathlons, through the pressure of his brothers.
Time spent living in Melbourne Australia's Italian district, had him
surrounded by road cyclists. The simplicity of the road made his want for swimming and running start to wane.
Spoilt by the fresh water of home, the shoes and goggles
were finally packed away once he moved to Edmonton. The singletrack out his back door proved too hard to pass up, with the demands of his family.
Currently, Coleman finds himself racing endurance mountain biking and cyclocross. He's a coach of youth mountain biking, and a VP of kids summer swim club.
